JBL GTO1214D 12 Inch Voice Subwoofer
I don't really like to do reviews, however, I haven't had a chance to listen to these speakers much, but today I am listening to some cd's I have and I've got to tell you, these speakers are fantastic. I replaced some JBL monitors that I purchased when working for a stereo chain many years ago and JBL hasn't forgotten how to make excellent speakers. These are clear sounding, with more than adequate bass. I'm listening to Elton John and it sounds like the piano is in the living room, the sounds are so clear and true. I'm using Yamaha separates (amp, pre-amp and cd player) to power these speakers and the sound will rival any high priced set up. I can't recommend these speakers enough. If you want great sound, buy these speakers, it doesn't get much better than these.

BalasHapusI got these to replace some 20 year old Kenwoods that are in a side-firing configuration in my bi-amped home speakers.
BalasHapusThey're perfect for my application, because I'm using a Behringer amp that works fine with 2 ohm stereo loads.
The sensitivity seems true to spec, and is not hyped like some others' which will claim a higher level because it's in a car.
This is actually 93db regardless of placement, and would be even a lot higher in a car.
The bass in my sealed cabs (which are about 1.1 cu. ft. - just 10% more than recommended) with approx. 300 watts/channel is tight, deep, powerful and accurate, with good quick transients.
All this for just over $80 a piece, and from JBL, makes me wonder how they can do it!
